Is it okay to eat fish every day? According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, adults should eat no less than 8 oz of seafood every week. Fish provides you with many necessary nutrients, and it's a perfect source of omega-3 fatty acids. But how would your body react if you started to eat fish every day?
Parents often teach their kids that fish is good for their health. However, specialists don't recommend eating this product more often than 3 or 4 times a week. Let’s find out why is that!

Fish swim by flexing their bodies and tail back and forth. Fish stretch or expand their muscles on one side of their body, while relaxing the muscles on the other side. This motion moves them forward through the water. Fish use their back fin, called the caudal fin, to help push them through the water.

In tropical seas, flying fish leap out of the water, gliding for up to 200 meters, before dipping back into the sea. In the Indo-Pacific, a hunting sailfish swims up to 110 kilometers per hour. These feats are made possible by a fish’s form -- which in most species is a smooth, long body, fins, and a tail. Lauren Sallan explains why these features are so common, and what it reveals about fish.

Respiration in Fish
The term "fish" most precisely describes any non-tetrapod craniate (i.e. an animal with a skull and in most cases a backbone) that has gills throughout life and whose limbs, if any, are in the shape of fins. Unlike groupings such as birds or mammals, fish are not a single clade but a paraphyletic collection of taxa, including hagfishes, lampreys, sharks and rays, ray-finned fishes, coelacanths, and lungfishes.
A typical fish is ectothermic, has a streamlined body for rapid swimming, extracts oxygen from water using gills or uses an accessory breathing organ to breathe atmospheric oxygen, has two sets of paired fins, usually one or two (rarely three) dorsal fins, an anal fin, and a tail fin, has jaws, has skin that is usually covered with scales, and lays eggs. Fish come in many shapes and sizes. This is a sea dragon, a close relative of the seahorse. Their leaf-like appendages enable them to blend in with floating seaweed.
Each criterion has exceptions. Tuna, swordfish, and some species of sharks show some warm-blooded adaptations—they can heat their bodies significantly above ambient water temperature....

Hello friends, and welcome to a new Happy learning video.
Today we are going to learn about the wettest animals on the planet...presenting the fish.
In almost all the places where you can find water, be it either salt water or fresh water, you can also find fish. There are fish of all sorts of sizes, colors and shapes, and yet they all have common characteristics which we should know.
Fish are vertebrates, their skeleton is made up of bones or cartilage. They are also cold blooded, their body temperature is not constant, meaning it depends on the water temperature.
This fish appears to be really cold!
All fish have extremities in the form of fins, as you can see in this image, dorsal fins, caudal fin which is the tail, pectoral fin, pelvic fin and anal fin. Another really important fact that one must remember is that almost all fish are covered in scales.
The gills are the fish´s respiratory organ. The respiration process is very interesting; water enters through the mouth and goes to the gills; the gills then get the oxygen and distributes it to the rest of the body through the blood vessels , then the water is expelled through an opening which can be found in the majority of fish behind their head, which is called the...

Fish oil can be obtained from eating fish or by taking supplements. Fish that are especially rich in the beneficial oils known as omega-3 fatty acids includes mackerel, herring, tuna, salmon, cod liver, whale blubber, and seal blubber. Two of the most important omega-3 fatty acids contained in fish oil are Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
According to research conducted at Harvard University, omega-3 fatty acid deficiency ranked as the sixth highest killer of Americans.
If you don't eat a lot of oily fish, taking a fish oil supplement could help you get enough omega-3 fatty acids and the amazing health benefits that comes with it.

This gulper catfish preyed on a fellow fish in their shared aquarium in Indonesia. It swallowed down a whole fish that was almost equal to its own size without even stopping for a second. The hungry catfish circles around another gold fish swimming around the aquarium The predator then extends its jaw and latches on to the other fish's head. The pair flap around the tank as the catfish slowly swallows its prey inch by inch.
